World Environment Day 2019

The Municipality of Thessaloniki, the YMCA, the Hellenic Society for the Environment and Cultural Heritage, the Europe Direct of Central Macedonia, the UNHCR and the 7^th LYKEIO THESSALONIKI, co-organized on the 5th June in the Gardens of the Pasha, an event for the World Environment Day.

Our aim was for younger people to embrace the park as a place of artistic inspiration and the older ones as a place of relaxation and well-being. The campaign against plastics accompanied with guided tours, music and dance events, tree planting and games. There was also a free buffet for the visitors. Everybody received flowers, vegetables and aromatic plants as a gift from the Municipality in order to plant them on their balcony.
