Distinction in the unofficial Juvenes Translatores competition

Eleftheria Rizou, student of Class A3, was distinguished for her translation being among the 15 translations in Greece which scored the highest mark in the unofficial Juvenes Translatores contest, organised by the local office of The Directorate-General for Translation in Athens and Mr Leonidas Kourmadas and held in our school on 22/12/23. According to Mr Kourmadas, 310 students from 28 high schools in Greece participated in the unofficial competition and had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge and skills, while, again this year, choosing the winners was extremely difficult. Eleftheria Rizou received a wonderful gift from the office in Athens and all the students acquired a certificate of attendance.

Many thanks to Mr. Kourmadas for giving schools which were not drafted for the official Juvenes Translatores the opportunity to hold the unofficial competition again this year!
